The Eagle poem

THE EAGLE
he clasps the crag with crooked hands

close to the sun in lonely lands

ringed with the azure world,he stands



the wrinkled sea beneath him crawls

he watches from his mountain walls

and like a thunderbolt he falls

the rhyme:

the meaning of words:

clasp: to hold someone or something tightly in your hands or arms

crag: stone or rough rock on a hill

crooked: not straight

azure: blue

wrinkled: waves

beneath: under or to a lower position

thunderbolt: a flash of lightning

falls: waterfall



Explain the poem:


In general or in short


holding a rock in his hand, like hands of an old man.

is far in the sky next to the sun standing strong like a king.

it sees the sea calm and straight,because it is far.

it can not hear the sea waves,because it is far.

and seen from his mountain because it has sharp sight.

strongly and quickly fall to the ground

like lightning because it is strong and fast.
